Tecno introduced its latest 5G-enabled smartphone, the Pova Curve 5G, in the Indian market on Friday. The device features a curved AMOLED screen, a MediaTek Dimensity processor, and a sizable battery packed into a slim frame.
The handset is priced at Rs 15,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 16,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB configuration. Tecno will begin sales in India on June 5.
The Pova Curve 5G is equipped with a 6.78-inch AMOLED curved-edge display offering a 144Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits peak brightness. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 adds protection.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset, the phone supports 5G connectivity and comes with Android 15 and Tecno's HIOS custom interface. The company confirmed the device will receive the Android 16 update next year.
On the camera front, the device includes a dual-lens system on the back featuring a 64MP main sensor and a secondary depth lens. Stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos technology and an IP64 certification for dust and water resistance are also part of the setup.
Additional features include AI-powered tools and a proprietary voice assistant named Ella. Despite its 5,500mAh battery, the phone maintains a thickness of just 7.45mm and weighs under 180 grams. The unit supports 45W fast charging via wired connection.
In the competitive mid-range smartphone segment, the Pova Curve 5G faces alternatives such as CMF Phone 1 and models from Infinix and other manufacturers.
